Memorial Tower 50th Anniversary Commemorative Lecture (October 11, 2006 (Wednesday)) Overview
The event was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the construction of the National Memorial Tower for the Victims of Air Raids in the Pacific War and the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Himeji City Peace Museum, in order to pass on to future generations the horrors of war and the preciousness of peace.

6 Profile Born in Tokyo in 1927. After serving in positions such as Director of the Policy Office, Director of the Public Relations Office, and Director of the Planning and Coordination Bureau of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, he retired in 1979 and began working full-time as a writer. He is well-known for his works that explore the theme of "organizations and people," drawing on historical material.
