About the Children's Peace Forum
◇Purpose
Through peace education, we aim to raise awareness and interest in the fact that Himeji City is home to the Pacific War National War-Damaged Cities Air Raid Memorial Tower (hereinafter referred to as the Memorial Tower), the only nationwide memorial facility dedicated to civilian war casualties during the Pacific War, and to express our condolences for those who died in the war through the Memorial Tower.
To raise children's awareness of peace by learning about the hardships faced by people at that time and the lives of children, and by providing an opportunity for them to think about what they can do.
