General Incorporated Foundation Pacific War National Air-Raid Victim Consoling Association will be holding a Children's Peace Forum to encourage children, who will be the future of the world, to think about peace. The event will be streamed on YouTube.

About the Children's Peace Forum

Recruitment contents

◇Purpose
 Through peace education, we aim to raise awareness and interest in the fact that Himeji City is home to the National Memorial Tower for the Victims of the Air Raids of Cities in the Pacific War (hereinafter referred to as the Memorial Tower), the only nationwide memorial facility dedicated to the general wartime casualties of the Pacific War. Through the Memorial Tower, we hope to express our condolences to the general wartime casualties. 
 To raise children's awareness of peace by learning about the hardships faced by people at that time and the lives of children, and by providing an opportunity for them to think about what they can do.

 Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture (Pacific War National War-Damaged Cities Air Raid Victims Memorial Tower, Himeji City Peace Museum)
◇ Date
 August 17, 2025 (Sun) Meeting time: 13:00, Scheduled to end around 17:00
◇Target audience
 6th grade
◇Number of people recruiting
 Approx. 20 persons
 *If there are a large number of applications, participants will be selected by lottery.
◇Application deadline
 July 23, 2025(Wednesday)
 * Parents or guardians will be notified of the results around July 29th (Tue).
◇Participation fee
 Free
 
* Regarding travel expenses,
If you are participating from Himeji City, the parking fee is 1 group 200 yen.
If you are participating from Akashi City, adults (parents or guardians) 1,320 yen, elementary school students 660 yen,
If you are participating from Kobe City, adults (parents or guardians) 1,920 yen, elementary school students 960 yen,
If you are participating from Ashiya City, Adults (Parent or guardian) 2,240 yen, elementary school students 1,120 yen,
If you are participating from Nishinomiya city, Adults (Parent or guardian) 2,600 yen, elementary school students 1,300 yen ,
If you are participating from Amagasaki city, the cost is 2,920 yen for adults (guardians or attendants) and 1,460 yen for elementary school students.
Please bring something that shows your address on the day., we will provide it to you.
However, the allowance will be for 1 elementary school student and 1 guardian or attendant. If there is no guardian or attendant,        
The fare will be for 1 elementary school student. If you are coming from an area other than the above, the fare from the nearest station to Himeji Station will be calculated as the base fare for an adult (Parent or guardian) The total amount paid for 1 child and 1 elementary school student will not exceed 5,000 yen.
Please note that if it takes longer than this, the cost will be borne by the participant.
 
*Please research the Pacific War National Memorial Tower for the Victims of Air Raids in Cities Damaged by War (Memorial Tower) and exchange opinions. We will provide you with an A4 study sheet in advance.
  
*Please note that in addition to the event being streamed on YouTube, there may be media coverage and filming on the day.
 
*Please note that photos and presentations from the day may be posted on our association's website.
 Example: Mr. S (6th grade) from Himeji City Publication of presentation content, etc.
